“Growing tomatoes or
aubergines isn’t hard, but it’s really hard to work in the garden,” said my
mum.
Summer in Japan is hot
and humid, and there are a lot of mosquitoes.
From the window, I
glanced at the seedlings planted the other day.
They are growing
quickly and beautifully. I can see lovely purple flowers already.
‘Never mind, Mum! Just
a couple of plants will reward you with a plenty of delicious tomatoes and
aubergines soon,’ I murmured.
