Hoping to put on weight

“Pinot’s lost weight again, hasn’t he?” my dad said, and went on: “We don’t want him to waste away, do we?”

My mum threw away my old dry food and opened a new package, and said: “I think it’s much better. Mmm, good smell, whet his appetite!”

Thank you, Dad and Mum!

I’ll eat more, and give you a lot of love. I’m 13 next year, and that feels still all right.

“By the way, Dad, you’ve put on weight, haven’t you?”

“How dare you, Pinot! Look at your Giraffe!”

The Giraffe – my scrach post – looks smart today with new ropes coiled around his long legs. As the old ones were really worn-out due to my exercise with them – miserable! Thanks to my dad, he has beautiful legs today. Now I can stretch myself upwards and sharpen my claws easily.

Ah, I’m getting hungry. That’s a good sign. Don’t worry, Dad and Mum!

I have a good appetite today.

昨晩、ダディとマミーはまた初台の東京オペラシティに行った、コンサートを聴きに。帰宅したのは、夜中だった。

「ピッピー！」

「お帰りなさい。おそいよ」

「ごめんね。コンサートが終わってから、大ちゃんとそれに音楽関係の人たちと、パブにね。オペラシティに、何とイギリス風のパブがあったの、知らなかったわ」

「でっか〜い！　これはビールなの！？ クリスマスツリーもすごいね、登ってみたいなあ。オペラシティは何でも大きいんだねえ。ああ、もう目が覚めちゃったよ」

「感じのいい人ばかりで、ホント楽しかったわ。さあ、寝ましょう」

Special Tuesday Class

It’s Tuesday today, so we have Mari and Hiroko as usual.

What’s so special about today’s class?

There are three more ladies observing the lesson. Our six seater round table is absolutely full – amazing! My mum as a teacher is in high spirits.

I’m listening to the lesson from here, no room for me there today. But it doesn’t matter to me because I’m enjoying sitting in the sun.

最近やせてきていたので、点滴の回数を増やすかもしれない、と二人は心配していたのだが、健康診断結果が届いた。どれどれ … …

75点！良好！　ああ、良かった。注射針の本数が増えずにすんだぞ。でも、もっと食べて、もう少し体重を増やさないといけないな。

二人は安堵して、今日は、おばあちゃんの誕生日のため、老人ホームに出かけていくようだ。おばあちゃんは、何と、９８歳になったらしい。ボクも長生きしたいけれど、持病があるからなあ … …

Classical Painting Frame – gorgeous!

My dad’s acquaintance asked my dad if he wanted the classical painting frame which she didn’t need any more.

Look at this!

My dad put his photo – Derek Jarman’s portrait – in the frame, and put it on the wall in the studio.

“Gorgeous!” everybody said.

I couldn't agree more.

Wired Audi Innovation Award 2017

To receive the Wired Audi Innovation Award, a prestigious Audi car came to our house to pick up Mr Dai Fujikura this afternoon.

Lukily, my dad and mum were asked to come with him to the ceremony.

– In the evening.

“Pinot, we’re home. Are you all right?” my mum said to me.

“Ah, you are back. I’m all right.”

“We had a very nice time. After the ceremony, there were live sessions – a guitarist, Dai-chan and Ryuichi Sakamoto performed,” she continued.

Good, good, good . . . er . . . I want to go back to sleep again, Mum . . . zzz . . .

In High Spirits

What a lovely day today!

My mum let me go into the garden.

Yesterday I felt dizzy because of the blood test and shot, but today I’m feeling very well.

My dad took me up in his arms, put me on the car in the sun, and started taking photos of me.

Thank you, Dad! Fantastic!

The sun makes everybody happy. I'm in high spirits, indeed. 

Pinot 2.8 kg!

きれいな花だなあ . . .

先週からずっと慌ただしい毎日が続いている。ロンドン在住の作曲家の藤倉大さんが泊まっているし、ダディの写真展が昨日終了した。

テーブルの上のきれいな花は、個展最終日にいらしたハーブ研究家の桐原春子さんが作ってくださったもので、「タッジー マッジー」というらしい。

しかしながら、ボクは今朝憂鬱なのだ。これからダディに動物病院に連れていかれる。一年に一度の予防接種と健康診断のために。

そして . . .

「ピノ、2.8 k しかなかったよ」

「ええっ、またやせちゃったの！？」

「検査結果次第で、点滴の回数を増やそう、と言われた」

マミーは、かなりショックだったようだ。毎日食欲旺盛なのになぜにやせるのか、ボクだって合点がいかない。

午後は、若手気鋭の尺八奏者がなぜかウチに録音に来るという。ここはフォトスタジオで、レコーディングスタジオではないのだが . . .　これもまた不可思議だ。

そして . . .

ピンポーン、ピンポーン！ あっ、来た。さあ、始まるぞ。二階に退散だ！ ベッドにもぐって我慢我慢。これだから太れないのかなあ？ やっと近所の工事が終わって静かになったと思ったのに。
